FEM toolkit: Overview

The project is aimed at developin a toolkit for so called Fractal Enterprise Model (FEM). FEM is a model that can be considered in two ways:

  1. As a presentation of a process architecture as it shows interconnections between the business processes that exist in the organization
  2. As a model of an enterprise, as besides processes it reveals assets that exists in the organizations and relate them to the processes.

More information on FEM see in https://www.fractalmodel.org/

The goal is to have a drwaing tool for creating FEM diagrams as is and extending its capabilities for better visualization. As an exmpale of susch we introduce the notion of ghost borrowed from InsightMaker, which allows to introduce a copy of a shade in the same or another diagram with a possibility to easy navigate to the original. therea re also possibility to highlight all shapes with the same origi in the same or different diagrams. Another example is allowing a project-oriented subclassing of any type of shades which will be visualized by background color assign to different subclasses.
